As high-performance, green buildings become increasingly important in today's construction industry, the 2012 INTERNATIONAL GREEN CONSTRUCTION CODE (IGCC) presents a valuable resource. The codebook builds on existing codes to broaden and strengthen building provisions that regulate the green design and performance of new and renovated buildings. It is enhanced by the the addition of ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/IES Standard 189.1, a set of technically rigorous requirements that cover critical topics, including water use efficiency, indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency, materials and resource use, and the building's impact on its site and community.
