A Greek Promise is an inspiring account of how God still calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The many miraculous events are intertwined with endearing descriptions of the delights of Greek life that have produced popular Greek based books by other authors. This unusual combination sets the scene for this true story, providing a delightful adventure for believers and sceptics alike. Courage, faith, compassion and a child-like dependence on God’s provision form the backdrop to this enchanting Greek island, modern day epistle. The story relates the most amazing events which defy any explanation other than that they were determined and controlled by the actions of an Almighty God. My previous book, To Greece and the Distant Islands, relates the fascinating events which first led me, an English business woman in her late thirties, to leave home and move to live a simple life on a Greek island. Many of the readers of that book asked, “But then what happened?” It is in answer to this question that this second book has been written including events up to the present day.
