The purpose of this book is to serve as a guide to the African Traditional administrative, and Cultural Politics. It contains entries on such recent developments as latest independent states of Africa. It provides a Comprehensive and informative background to the past events and includes life histories of those Africans leading politicians who were alive at the time. The past histories, and economic affairs of almost every independent state that part are discussed, cross references have been included in an entry where further explanation might help the reader to a better understanding of the subject under discussion. Generally, the book provides accounts on the historical, cultural, and political aspects of the continent.The Author, Ato Asfaw Teferra, was born in Asebe Teferi, Harar, Ethiopia. He was educated, locally in Asebe Taferi Elementary School, Addis Ababa Technical School, Addis Ababa Teachers' Training College as well as University College of Addis Ababa. Then he went to England for further education. In England Asfaw joined the University of London as exchange student the School of Oriental and African Studies.
