Dr. Lokesh G.B., is the Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, UAS, Raichur. He is a recipient of two International Fellowship awards for attending international courses: 1. Exploration, Exploitation and Management of Groundwater Resources at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel sponsored by Mashav, Foreign Ministry, Govt. of Israel (2003) 2. NAIP-ICAR International Fellowship for attending international training on Commodity Markets at IFPRI, Washington DC, USA (2013) awarded by NAIP-ICAR, New Delhi, Govt. of India. He has successfully completed two national and four Govt. of Karnataka funded research projects on various issues related Agricultural Policy. He also teaches courses in Agricultural Economics for both undergraduate post graduate students at College of Agriculture, Raichur since 2011. Prior to his teaching and research experiences in agriculture, he has also worked 5 years in corporate sector in providing analytical solutions for solving the business problems in fast moving consumer's goods, software marketing and retail financing sectors at global level, etc. To his credit totally 15 research articles published in reputed national and international journals and three in book, in chapters. Chandargi, completed Ph.D.in Agricultural Extension Education in the year 1996 from University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka. He has put in around 35 years of service in different capacities as extension worker, scientist and administrator in State Department of Agriculture and Agricultural University. Now, he is serving as Dean (Agri.) at College of Agriculture, Raichur under the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, Karnataka. He has also served as a Registrar of University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur for a period of two and half years. He has significantly contributed to the field of Agricultural extension education, management, rural development and sustainable livelihoods in particular. He has worked on income generation activities of SHGs and evolved policy document through world bank funded Sujala watershed project. He has worked as outreach expert in international project on "Consolidation of Food Security in South India" funded by CIDA collaborated by Mc Gill University, Canada. Dr. D.M. Chandargi, is a recipient of many awards, some of them are: o University of Agricultural Sciences, Gold Medal and Dr. R. Dwarakinath Gold medal for Ph.D. Degree programme. o Best Paper Presentation Award - 2013 by International Society of Extension Education. o Scientist of the Year Award - 2016 by National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi. o Excellence in Communication Award - 2016 by Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture and Technology, India. o Outstanding Scientist in Agriculture Award - 2017 by Scientific Education Research Society, Meerut (U.P.). As a teacher he has taught several courses of undergraduate and post graduate programmes including Ph.D. and guided twenty five M.Sc. and three Ph.D. students as a Chairman and more than 75 students as a member of advisory committees. M.G. Chandrakanth is currently Director of Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Nagarabhavi, Bangalore. He was Professor and University Head of Agricultural Economics and former Dean of College of Agriculture, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore (UASB), India. He completed B.Sc. (Agri.) in 1974, M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agricultural Economics in 1976 under Professor Noel SP Rebellow, and obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics in 1981 under Dr. JV Venkataram from the UASB. He served the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, India, as an Assistant Professor in the Rural Economics Unit from 1982-1983 and joined the UASB as an Associate Professor in 1983. He has been teaching agricultural economics, production economics, mathematical economics, advanced micro-economics, institutional economics and history of economic thought, natural resource and environmental economics courses. Dr. Chandrakanth pursued post doctoral studies with fellowship from the Ford Foundation, USA in forest resource economics in 1987-88. He was awarded the Ciriacy-Wantrup Post Doctoral Fellowship for 1988-90 period, in institutional economics of natural resources at the University of California, Berkeley, USA and worked under Prof. Jeff Romm specializing in water resource economics and policy. He was nominated as Vice President of the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics in 2000 and as a member of Editorial board of the Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics in 2012. He facilitated student exchange program with the University of Gent with Prof. Guido Van Huylenbroeck in Rural Development (IMRD) and was Erasmus Mundus visiting scholar, University of Ghent, Belgium in 2008; DAAD scholar at Humboldt University, Berlin 2010 and 2012. He is a member of the Water Policy Law Group of the University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia. Dr. Chandrakanth was awarded the Fellow of the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics in 2013 and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Agrawal Award of Excellence for his outstanding contributions in Agricultural Economics in 2014. He has published in Natural Resources Journal, Natural Resources Forum, Ecological Economics, Water Policy, Environment and Development Economics, Economic and Political Weekly, Ind Jar of Agri Economics, Agricultural Economics Research Review (http://www.toenre.com). He handled projects funded by the Ford Foundation from 1995 to 2005 on Groundwater resource economics and has been the leader of the Team of Excellence in Natural Resource Economics since 2000. Dr. M.V. Ravi working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, Karnataka, India. He has completed B.Sc. (Agri.), M.Sc. (Agri.) and Ph.D. at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangaluru, Karnataka, India. He had an experience of about 15 years in the field of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry. From past ten years, he is working as an Assistant Professor and teaching various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the University. He has published nearly 75 scientific articles in various scientific journals at national as well as university level and presented various papers in international/national and local seminars, symposia, conferences, workshop, etc. He served as Staff Advisor, Liaison Officer, Nodal Officer, Technical Assistant to the Dean (PGs), Registrar and DOE in the university in technical administration for upliftment of the university/institution. He has conducted more than 70 training programme in Bhoochetana programme. which is a flagship project of Govt. of Karnataka and delivered more than 100 Guest lecturer.
