An Introduction to Biochemistry, Second Edition provides information pertinent to the fundamental aspects of biochemistry. This book presents several analytical methods, including the citrulline reaction for proteins and the diffusion test for acetone. Organized into two parts encompassing 25 chapters, this edition begins with an overview of the general composition of the organism and the chemical characteristics of the chief organic and inorganic compounds that enter into its structure. This text then examines the chemical composition of the tissues and physiological systems.
