Nine officers and two civilians were injured. Hood was there. In many ways, he still is. There, organizing and speaking at the rally. A graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Emory University amongst other institutions, Hood earned his doctorate with a focus in Queer Theology at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. Hood has repeatedly been arrested seeking liberation for the marginalized and oppressed.
