Diseases have become a limiting factor in successful production of fruit crops and results into both qualitative and quantitative losses. It is very essential to know about the causes, perpetuation and spread of the pathogen which inciting diseases so that timely management practices are implemented. It is quiet essential of knowledge of different factor leading to epidemic build up of diseases for production of their appearance and timely application of prophylactic or curative chemicals. Integrated disease management strategies involving the use of most effective methods need to be implemented for efficient management of diseases in fruit crops. There is an urgent need for undertaking the details studies in the development in the etiology, epidemiology and management of controlling the various diseases affecting fruits and to minimize the loss of fruit in the field, in transit and in storage. The post harvest management of the disease in fruit crops also helps in minimizing the losses quantitatively as well as quantitatively. The pathological aspects of some important fruit crops have been dealt in this book.
