He also wrote in the medical field, having gained his MD from the University of Kansas in 1904. The Dr Rabbit titles were illustrated by Milo Winter (1888-1956), an American book illustrator who trained at Chicago's School of the Art Institute and whose work included editions of Aesop's Fables, Arabian Nights, Alice in Wonderland, Tanglewood Tales and many others. This title was first published in 1918 and includes six full-page illustrations.
