Scarcity.Itâs one of those things most marketers have heard of, but very few knowhow to use it properly.The trouble is, there are many different ways to use scarcity, and thereisnât any one single way that works best for every product and everyunique situation.Here are a few examples of how scarcity can be used effectively inmarketing:1. Coupons â Coupons typically have expiration dates. This is a formof scarcity, because it required you to take action before the couponexpires.2. Dime Sales â Dime sales work by increasing the price at certainprice points (or occasionally at time intervals). This inspires peopleto buy immediately because they want to get the lowest possibleprice.3. Limited Time Availability â Limited time availability offers are greatfor getting people to take action, because if your product is onlygoing to be available for a limited time, they wonât want to missgetting it forever.4. Limited Time Pricing â Like coupons and dime sales, limited timepricing gets people to buy right away, because they want thecheapest price possible.5.
