This is a non-fiction story based on personal experiences of being on the floor everyday for 5 and half years as an hourly associate and a member of management. The author takes the reader into the belly of the largest retail outlet on the planet. It's a riveting look into the everyday operation of fortune 500 companies. Wal-Mart operational business model is a culture of is own. It has a philosophy and ideology and plan to run a world wide business built on the motif of a great place to work that puts the customer first. The giant is not without controversy and has issues that are addressed in the book. The author gives insight into many elements that constitutes the store hierarchical level of employees. He shows how the store is structured and gives examples of real life experiences of the everyday operation, which comes from being in the belly of the giant.
