The ebb and flow of the tides are free to go wherever they see fit and cannot be controlled by man or any element. When Rowan stands on the edge of the cliff she wants to be a part of its freedom for all eternity. As she closes her eyes a bird appears in front of her and flaps its wings as if it wants her to follow him along the cliff path. The moon breaks apart and she is led to Karlin who shows her how to love, prepare for eternal love and life beyond the power of the moon.
