I am left-handed and have always felt that I was a member of a special group of people. I am proud to be a lefty, as a child in school and at home I met the inconveniences, and they were inconveniences, of functioning in a right-handed world with challenge and an attitude of an over comer.
I have compiled my research into this manual. Along with the latest research on left-handedness such as the causes and consequences of being left-handed, it has practical teaching tips, a writing method to avoid the famous “Lefty Hook”, a cursive alphabet and interviews with celebrity Lefties such as Dick Smothers of “The Smother’s Brothers” and Tino Wallenda of “The Flying Wallendas” discussing how they coped with being Left-handed in a right-handed dominant world.
From an article about my book in the Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod, Mass.
"Model Classrooms" shows a striking example of the historical failure of American education to pay attention to the handwriting needs of left handers. From kindergarteners to Presidents,
