Murder in the Dark is either Margaret Atwood's seventh or tenth book of its kind. If you think it's poetry, then it's number 10. If you prefer to call it fiction, it's her seventh. However you classify it, it's certainly Atwood in top form. Witty, thoughtful and provoking, these fictionalized autobiographies, pieces of prose-poetry, mini-romances and science fictions are top-notch comic entertainment.
