Morris "Red" Blackman and Sean Feeney are two young men looking for the chance to change their futures in the late 1950's. From vastly different backgrounds, they are bound by their prospective careers as New York City Police Officers. From the grind of training in the NYPD Academy to the streets of the city, they soon learn not everything can be taught in a classroom. From a homicide and a major heist they learn from senior detectives the right way to conduct an investigation, and soon are partnered together on a case of their own. "Partners" is the beginning of a story that follows the rise of the prodigious team of police department legends. Red and Sean enter the force, earn their stripes, and begin to display the skill that will lead them to close record amounts of cases as NYPD Detectives.
