PERCY received the Gold medal from the Literary Classics Book Awards, First Place from the Purple Dragonfly Awards and the Silver medal from the Feathered Quill Book Awards.
Percy is a thoroughbred colt, the son of a great racehorse. His mother is expecting him to follow in his father's hoofprints. The only problem is that he doesn't like to run. Instead, Percy befriends a little boy in a wheelchair. They spend their summer days together. "Run, Percy, run," admonishes his mother. "But I don't like to run," Percy answers. The wise old mare encourages him to find his true purpose. Percy finds that purpose as a therapy horse for disabled children. The book is filled with beautiful, colorful, charming illustrations that will delight all children.
