WINNER OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY WRITERS ASSOCIATION'S 2012 WRITING CONTEST, BEST SHORT STORY CATEGORYMy contribution to the anthology of paranormal short fiction, From Shadows & Nightmares is an unusual offering. I am known for crime writing and considered it an interesting challenge to generate a ghost story rooted in the crime fiction genre. So, I combined a cop story with a ghost story and came up with ‘Round Midnight, the chronicle of a DC cop’s on and off-duty ghostly encounters with a childhood friend who died in his youth. Hauntings can be murder.
