Seed Science and technology is a multidisciplinary subject which involves seed production, processing, value addition, seed testing, storage and finally delivery to the market place. There are various steps which are required to be taken for quality seed production and finally delivery to the market place. The enhancement in the knowledge of production and value addition has led to the increase in crop production. However there is still scope for increasing the yield particularly under unfavourable conditions. This gap can be met by using technologies like seed coating, seed priming, measurement of seed vigour and use of nano technologies for delivery of chemicals for enhancing the potential of seeds. Features: The book Techniques in Seed Science and Technology included all these aspects and describe as to how to use these technologies in simple, readable and usable manner. The book will be of great value not only to the students, teachers and researchers, but to extension workers also to have a quick knowledge of various aspects of techniques in seed science and technology.
