Steve Dupree lost his wife. He may also be losing his mind.
Horror strikes close to home for the unorthodox crime reporter. Despite his best efforts, no clues are found about his wife's mysterious disappearance. His spiral into depression leads to questioning his very sanity. His sleep is plagued by vivid nightmares, visions of gruesome murders seen from the view of the killer. When he discovers the murders are real, he has to question whether or not he is the serial killer.
His investigation leads to an encounter with a mysterious man who may hold the answers to all the questions that haunt Steve. A man who blends in almost too well, whose face is obscured to all manner of electronic surveillance. The Blurred Man reveals the truth to Steve, but that revelation may be more maddening than any Steve could have conjured on his own.
The mystery that began with the Aberration continues to unfold in this related short story. The mill explosion was only the beginning.
