There are sixteen stories inspired by Bergamo's popular legends, but with ideas and situations typical of folkloric literature from all over Europe: we have ghosts, dragons, devils and other entities existing in the popular imagination.The fantastic, the magic and the naivety of the people of the past are re-proposed in the version closest to the taste and popular mentality.They still possess the popular naivety of oral narration, simple and full of mystery.Monsters, devils, dragons and ghosts always have their almost religious dimension, with eternal punishments, death and pain for all sinners: for us they are only minimal, almost senseless faults.What matters is not the moral that underlies these stories, of the peasant type, but the dream world, prescientific, which does not differentiate the daytime world from the dream world of nightmares, even with open eyes.
