Lauren Child has been writing and illustrating children’s books since 1999 and has published many bestselling and award-winning books, including those featuring the hugely popular Charlie and Lola, and the Clarice Bean series. She has won numerous awards including the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal and the Smarties Gold Award and sold millions of books around the world. Lauren is the Waterstones Children’s Laureate for 2017-2019.
