American educator and author. Born in Austria, educated in Germany and New York. She married Benjamin Charles Gruenberg in 1903. Parent of Hilda Sidney Krech, with whom she co-authored. She was the executive director of the Child Study Association of America. She was the author, co-author, and editor of more than fifteen books about parenting, and books for children.
