An English writer arrives in Athens one summer to give a writing course. During her stay, she finds herself listening to other’s confessions about their personal lives. They talk to her about their loves, ambitions, and fears. We barely know anything about her: she’s divorced and the mother of two kids. A sequence of different voices will interact with her, revealing the personality and events in the life of the narrator. Loss, the research for the meaning of life, the difficulty to establish lasting relationships or the mystery of creativity will be some of the topics she will have to deal with. This novel is about how we build our identity from our lives and those of others.
