Connections made with our computers open many doors that in the past have been lost to us. Door's that lead us to all the possibilities the world has to offer, both bad and good. This is something that Maggie is just learning. Maggie is a frustrated and lonely housewife who was abandoned, and betrayed by her family, and has to accept her husbands cheating ways, and her daughters problems with drugs all on her own. So she turn to her new lap top computer to make some connections of her own. Connections that lead her to a world of sex, friendship and eventually a new life of acceptance and love. Maggie diary is her only companion, and it is through her diary entries that we are told her story. In the beginning Maggie just wants a friend, using her new lap top computer she finds friends, and a whole lot more. She discovers the world of sex, and cheating spouses. For awhile she is caught up in the excitement, and danger, and she enjoys connecting with the men she finds, and enjoying the attention she needs and craves. Eventually Maggie discovers that she needs more then these men can offer her. Sex isn't enough, she want's a deeper, more meaningful relationship. She finds this with the first friend she made with her computer. Their friendship deepens, and they finally meet while he is on a business trip. They discover that they have a strong, loving connection to one another. But there are problems, neither can abandon their families, even though they themselves have been at time abandon. They are better people then that. Because of family obligations that keep them apart, and the great distance between them the only way they can be together is when they connect on their computers. The only way they can comfort, and support one another, the only way they can love one another is when the connection is made.
