Squeegee Kid is the story of a twenty-one-year-old carnival worker who winds up stranded, homeless, and living in a shelter in the downtown core of Toronto, Ontario. Based on S.E. Tomas's own experiences in the '90s, and told from the perspective of Jim, his fictional alter ego, this autobiographical novel offers a raw first-person account of life on the streets of Canada's largest city. About the Author S.E. Tomas, the "street author," is a Canadian fiction author and former carnival worker who sells his novels and short stories on city streets in the Greater Toronto Area. He has self-published two novels, Crackilton and Squeegee Kid, and a collection of short stories, Carny Short Stories Volume 1. He lives in Mississauga.
