Over the past few decades there have been major advances in computed tomography (CT) to improve the performance of cardiac imaging. Thanks to the improved scanning speed, power boost tubes, and increased-width detectors, the latest CT technology delivers greater coverage, better spatial and temporal resolution, and functional information on cardiac diseases.
