Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and mental human development generally occurring between puberty and legal adulthood, but largely characterized as beginning and ending with the teenage stage. Adolescence is usually accompanied by an increased independence allowed by the parents or legal guardians and less supervision, contrary to the preadolescence stage. Adolescence is characterized by a number of cognitive, emotional, physical and attitudinal changes, which can be a cause of conflict on one hand and positive personality development on the other. This book studies adolescence including identity crisis, peer pressure, mood swings, age of consent, teenage pregnancies, and youth voice. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
