The One-to-one Phonics Tutoring Kit is for children who are in danger of falling behind with their reading, are behind their peers, or new to a school and need to catch up.
It is perfect to pick up and go, with all the resources included. The Handbook provides guidance on planning and assessment. Speed Sounds Cards Sets 1, 2 and 3 help children learn the 44 sounds. Speedy Green Words introduce children to the decodable words and Red Word Cards introduce children to the
non-decodable words they will meet in the books. Red Ditty Books provide a bridge between reading single words to full sentences. Storybooks match childrens growing phonic knowledge. Progress Books provide practice of reading sounds and words, including nonsense words.
Additional support is available on Read Write Inc. Phonics Online (purchased separately), including video clips showing how to teach each stage of reading, and guidance on how to say pure sounds.
