At that time, many believed in Christ and begged the holy doctors to heal the king. The latter himself begged them to do the same, saying:Now I truly know that you are slaves of the true God. So I beseech you, since you have already healed many, then heal me too, so that I may believe that there is no other God besides you who preached, who created heaven and earth.If you, the saints told him in this regard, you will know the life and kingdom of God that has given you and believe in Him with all your heart, then He will heal you.I believe in You, the king said loudly, Lord Jesus Christ, true God, have mercy on me and do not remember my first ignorance!While the king uttered these words, his neck straightened, his face fell into place, as it was at first, and, rising from his place, raised his eyes to heaven and lifted up his hands, gave thanks to all the people thanks God, saying So:- Blessed are you, Christ, the true God who brought me through these holy servants of Yours from darkness to light.Having thus been healed, the king honored the gifts of the holy slaves Cosmas and Damian and released them in peace.
