When her father the king dies and leaves the Iceni lands to his daughters the Roman Procurator see's his chance to take over. Queen Boudicca stands up for her daughters, only to be publicly tied to a stake and flogged. She is then forced to watch as her daughters are raped and humiliated, by the garrison, the veterans and even by slaves. The elder daughter is driven on only by revenge, but the younger daughter, whilst still fighting in the resulting rebellion will learn to love again in the arms of Celtic a warrior prince. Rebellion and passion, war and history meet in Beverley Ashton's Boudicca's Daughter.
