Do you ever wonder if God spends as much time with all of his children as he does with you? I do. He just will not leave me alone. He talks to me, he nudges me, he reminds me, he scolds me, he paints pictures in my mind's eye, and he stirs my heart. Since childhood, God has been revealing Himself to me through people, places, and growing things. Collected here to share are a few of those observations. Born in Indiana, Carol Thornburg Grimes, moved during her teen years to Florida where soon after graduation she married her high school beau and began pursuing her only ambition at the time - that of being a good wife and mother. However, God had a different idea, and when a latent interest in writing surfaced, she enrolled in a local college and during the next ten years earned a teaching degree while also working as a secretary and caring for her growing family. Now married for sixty years, she is the mother of three, the grandmother of nine, and recently became a great grandmother. In the meantime, Carol counseled high school students for thirty years, taught both children and adults in Sunday school and shared her hospitality skills at church functions. Her desire to write took the form of countless notes and scribbles on scraps of paper, napkins, old envelopes, and the margin of books and in a collection of journals. With urging from her family and friends, she has combined her doodling into this collection.
