An A to Z of collected tales from all over the world. Includes folk and fairy tales from the four corners of the globe - Russia, Africa, Ireland, Norway, Greece, Italy, Arabia, and the list goes on. This collection is a sample of the tales that are widely available elsewhere - there are some 400 + stories in this series of volumes with examples from the brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and many other writers from the past. The selection of each volume has been made on a purely alphabetical basis according to the title of the story (including 'the') so you will a great number of these tales full into the letter 'T'.This collection, whilst reasonably large, is only a relatively small sample of the stories out there if you care to look. The idea for this series developed as a result of my interest in Irish and other Celtic tales where I was constantly finding misplaced examples of tales from other areas of the world.I then started to look at other stories available without being specific as to the author and soon found a rather varied collection which I have now published in this set of Universal Fairy and Folk Tales. Some of you will be disappointed that some tales are not included that are well known. I have deliberately tried to avoid them but have included a few of the more famous stories.I have tried (and hopefully succeeded) in avoiding tales already published in my Irish and Celtic volumes but fear one or two may have slipped through the net for which you have my sincere apologies. Please enjoy this collection with my thanks!
