Imagine being threatened and forced to give up custody of your child. That's exactly what happened to Vanessa Gleason. A fairy tale marriage turned into a nightmare, Now, alone in the world, Vanessa vows to fight her wealthy ex husband for custody of her daughter. Was it fate that brought her to the little church on Christmas Eve?Reviews: Vanessa Sanford is banished by Charles, her ruthless husband, who also forces her to leave behind her baby Alyssa to the tender mercies of himself and his vicious mother. Broken hearted and desperate, Vanessa stumbles into a church and not only finds haven there, but also meets the Pastor, Dan Jacobson. A baby is abandoned at the church, and as Vanessa comforts her, the distraught mother rushes back to claim her child. With the help of Dan's brother, Mike, who is a lawyer, Vanessa eventually gets Alyssa back. There are quite a few twists and turns in this lovely story which I won't reveal, suffice to say Vanessa and Pastor Dan get their well earned HEA. Vanessa Gleason faces one of a mother's greatest heartaches - a custody battle with a wealthy ex-husband who's money "buys" custody of their child. But mothers don't give up. Not ever. This novel is a heartwarming affirmation that sometimes love is strong enough to overcome. And that mother love isn't the only strong love that a woman can depend on. Sometimes you can depend on a man. If you need a reminder that sometimes we really do get what we deserve, this is the book for you.
