What is it really like to survive child abuse, sexual abuse, sexual harassment and emotionally traumatic experiences that impact your life in a profound way? The answer is in the pages of this book. It was a difficult book for me to write and it's a difficult book for you to read. But the stories I share in this book are so worth reading if you are an abuse survivor seeking a kindred spirit or someone who wants to learn more about what abuse survivors go through. I didn't want to write this book - I had to write it. And, let me tell you, it's been quite an emotional journey for me to get to a place where I feel brave enough to share my personal hidden secrets with you and the rest of the world. Inside these pages, I reveal the most difficult experiences of my life. Instead of a running narrative, I decided to just focus on specific incidents - pieces of my life story. This way, you get to see and feel those disturbingly shocking moments that interrupted my everyday life, and you'll understand what makes me one of the countless abuse survivors.I'm sharing my personal experiences and struggles with abuse, and the dysfunction it created in my life, to help enlighten those who need to understand what we survivors go through, and to help bring about positive changes that help us all confront and find workable solutions for dealing with the most common forms of abuse.
