At five years old, Julianne doesn't want to move to George Town East, especially when she knows she'll be separated from her best friend. Still, when Julianne's dad tells her that the headless people that live in her closet and chase her down the hall won't follow her to their new house, she starts to look forward to the move. George Town East is where Julianne will spend her childhood and adolescence in the 1970s and 1980s; in this memoir, she recalls a simpler time growing up there. Hot summer days, watching television with the family, riding bicycles, and going to the movies were all mainstays of daily life. This was a time before computers, before cell phones and when children growing up didn't have a care in the world-except school, summer vacations and then becoming a teenager and falling in love for the first time. Join Julianne as she recalls awkward teenage moments, life in a small town, and a time that no longer exists in Remembering George Town East.
